Boxing It Up is locally owned and operated, established June 2014 by Marsha Hardie as a full-service moving company located in Woodbridge, Virginia.
For over 15 years Hardie has partnered with a variety of major moving companies providing extraordinary customer service ensuring an easy, stress-free move no matter how big or small the job maybe. With the demand in the moving industry on the rise, Hardie decided to venture out on her own, which led to the establishment of Boxing It Up. Boxing It Up handles your entire move from beginning to end, starting with the planning and preparing stage to setting up and organizing your new home on the day your belongings arrive.
In 2020 when the coronavirus shut down much of the U.S, leaving Americans in financial distress and changing the way we relate to and navigate the world, Hardie decided to take the company in a different direction. With the rise in COVID cases, for safety of our customers and staff instead of continuing with full service moves we decided to focus on the more daunting task most are face with when it comes to relocating while keeping the number of people in your home to a minimum.
Boxing It Up will assist in the planning and preparing for your move which give customers the flexibility to go with a more affordable options of their choosing whether it’s to do it yourself, arrange a Pod or seek other sources for transporting your home goods as wells as offer an array of services once your shipment arrives at your new home. As always, we continue to adapt to our customers’ needs and provide our customers with the best possible service as we understand moving can not only be stressful, but also time consuming, so we are here to help.
OUR PROCESS
Our Packing Specialist will arrive at your home to complete the visual survey of your items (virtual survey optional). Once this is completed, he or she will estimate the number of boxes needed and packing cost associated with your move—please remember that the packing specialist must clearly see what you are moving/packing to provide you with an accurate estimate. Crawl spaces, attics, and cluttered closets can often be deceptive, so organize your house well before the packing specialist arrives.
Don't be alarmed—it is normal for a packing specialist goes through all of your cabinets and closets, or even looks under beds and on top of cabinets. He or she must be able to completely see what is being pack to ensure proper material will be provided on packing date. If you know of items that are out of view, be sure to point them out to the packing specialist. In addition to this, if there are items you will be eliminating, be sure to point them out as well.
The packing specialist will submit the completed survey of your home and an estimate will be provided within 24-48 via phone and/or email.
If offer is accepted, a 10% deposit will be collected once date is selected and confirmed. Full refund available 72 hours prior to packing day, after 72 hours deposit is non-refundable.
